Argus Provides an FM-200 Refill Service for a Broad Range of Fire Suppression Systems
Argus Fire Control is an authorized distributor of DuPont FM-200 Fire Suppression Gas. As such, we are prepared to refill most system and refill tanks regardless of manufacturer, including Fike, Chemetron, Kiddie, Fenwal, and others, in addition to Argus.
FM-200 (or "heptafluoropropane") may also be labeled as FE-227, HFC-227 or HFC-227ea (depending upon the system manufacturer). Regardless of the name on the tank, it is all HFC-227ea.

As a DuPont authorized distributor Argus maintains an "on-hand" supply of FM-200 in our Charlotte, NC production facility and have adapters and connectors which allow us to refill system tanks for many major systems.
As an authorized distributor, we also have the ability to provide 1,200 lb refill tanks on an expedited-basis direct from DuPont to your facility, or we can dispatch a truck from our Charlotte facility on an emergency/expedited basis if appropriate.
A Note Concerning "Recycled FM-200"
Be sure you know where your refill gas is originating. While there are some reputable sources for "re-claimed" or "recycled" HFC-227ea, some are neither reputable nor reliable.
While there are a range of effective suppression gases they do not "inter-mix" well in most instances. With years of experience we have seen multiple instances in which system tanks have been "cross-contaminated" with alternative gases (e.g. trace amounts of Halon 1211 in an FM-200 tank). We have also discovered via spectroscopic testing excessive moisture, nitrogen, and a range of other contaminants (even propane on occasion).
Even very minor levels of cross-contamination have been proven to compromise system effectiveness and, in some cases, can render a suppression system completely inoperable. - CONSEQUENTLY - Be sure you know your source.
